Dr. Molly Houle joined the Great Lakes team in July 2021 after practicing small animal medicine in Chicago, IL for three years. In January of 2022, she took on the additioinal role of Medical Director. Originally from the Upper Peninsula, Dr. Houle is thrilled to be back in Michigan and has loved exploring her of Grand Rapids.
Dr. Houle earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology at Loyola University Chicago. She then went on to earn a joint Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Master's degree in Public Health at the University of Illinois. Her professional interests include preventative care, epidemiology, chronic disease management, and ultrasonography.
Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors hiking, paddleboarding, biking, and downhill skiing. She's also an avid reader and enjoys a regular yoga practice. She has two cats named Jade and Boomer, who like to join her and her husband on nice days in their backyard and garden.
